i have a buck 110 only markings are BUCK USA and these are upside down. How old is it? Never been sharpened but has been used with original sheath. By used I mean you can see light scratches on the blade and its never been cleaned. How much would it be worth as well?

pictures would be needed to make an accurate estimate beucase they made several variations that appear as you describe. I'll move this to the buck forum so some of our experts can help you out

About as far as a reasonable person could go on assessing your knife would be to say that it is likely to be 1968 or after. The USA indication was used when Buck started exporting to Canada in 1968 or there a bouts. I guess a question I would ask is why do you think it is a 110 if it is not marked as such? Without photos one cannot with any certainty go any further except to say that if indeed it is a 110 they sell on ebay from very little to as high as a couple of hundred bucks. That is without any custom work on them.

Hi Bman,
As all of the posters above have stated it would be impossible to tell which version & variation your 110 is without a lot more information. Photo's of your knife are the best and we will need to see both sides, and a good photo of the butt end of the knife also.

It is safe to say that your knife was made some time between 1967 and 1972. 1967 was the first time the inverted (read tip down) BUCK, U.S.A. was used and changed to BUCK, 110, U.S.A. (read tip up) in 1972. The versions changed from 3 to 5 in this time frame and each version had multiple variations. That is why we would need to see photo's to nail down the exact version & variation of your knife so we could identifiy an approximate year for your knife.

"Disclaimer"
There are many books and data sheets that give info on these changes and that is where I got my info. Note your mileage may vary and data is subject to change with out prior notification.

Here is a photo of a few of my older 110's
