I am reasonably sure these are Dental picks and Surgical items. What I would appreciate is the types(names) and some what of a timeline should anyone know. These should enlarge with a click or two.

edit: after viewing the blowup I reckon they are all Dental

These/they are all dental. The top photo are instruments a dentist would use for pokin' around. The bottom image shows what a technician works with mainly carvers for tooth anatomy. I believe they are all used for crown & bridge work.

If you need the "official" name, call & forward to your dentist. That is why they get the Big Bucks.. If she/he does not know, You need to find a new one. ::tu:: I see a few I know the names right off, but I am afraid I would mis-spell them. Some are PKT's #1-6 (Peter K. Thomas), Roach Carver, One is a No. 6 Wax Spatula, Scalers.......They should be stamped on the side. They are good for carving bone, ivory that kinda thing also.

BTW: Some of these are still made in the USA, I do not think that will last for long. Those would be the Snap On's of the field. IMO

The only non-dental item is the piece on the left in picture #1;it is a bow pen used to make straight ink lines in drafting. The thumbscrew adjusts the two jaws to regulate the thickness of the line and facilitate cleaning afterward. It is dipped in ink and run along a straight edge.
The tools I believe are called riffles or something like that;they are mainly very small files for scraping(scaling) tartar from teeth. They come in different grits. The hooks are also used for scraping and pulling back the gums to scrape. They make great tools for building scale models or sculpting clay.
