This Lafayette,TN seller states:
"THIS KNIFE IS MADE OF ORIGNAL PARTS AS THE FRAME OF THE KNIFE AND THE BLADES ARE ORIGNAL AND THE KNIFE HAS BEEN PUT TOGETHER RECENTLY."
Since he is advertising this as a Case Tested, then this is a counterfeit regardless of this DISCLAIMER because IMO:
1) He is selling a knife that never existed. Case Tested never made a STAG handle in this model 62009 (spear) or a 62009 1/2 (clip master), so the stag is not "orignal".
2) The frame is not "orignal" to Case, so what brand? Not a Case, as this knife is 3 1/4" long. (The 62009 Barlow with long round bolsters is 3 3/8" long.) 2/16" is too much of a difference, IMO.
3) The blades are not "orignal" to Case IMO, so what brand? The stamping looks cold, and fresh.
4) Although stated as put together recently, if the parts are not "orignal" to the time period, or even "orignal" to an actual Case knife, then this is a counterfeit IMO.

This seller, I believe, was recently reported, didn't sell for a while, but is back once again. The new EBAY Buyer protection has some new guidelines about counterfeiting and selling non-authentic items. And it looks like his "NO RETURN" policy by this seller has no merit, as EBay is giving a 45 day return policy to all buyers, will reimburse the buyer, then seek reimbursement from the seller regardless of the sellers stated return policy.
If my employment status would change, then I would be testing this new Buyer protection by winning this POS & promptly demand to return it. And I beleive this seller has more than one EBay ID, as there are two other Lafayette, TN sellers been selling some junk like this.

OK, I'm done. This seller gives ALL knife collecting and selling a bad name. Any comments, pro or con?

He also has a Case Tested whittler listed that is even a bigger joke. How many case 630431/2 patterns have you seen?

The person that Makes these knives from Parts is selling them at knife and gun shows and
sells in the open because they sets up, they do not hide anything and they will tell you about
the knife or knives if you ask and they sell them at a fair price.

The people buying them are re-selling them on Ebay and making
money, good money. You will see more and more, all Diff Old Brands
and Patterns, Handles ect.

So if he was from Ohio or California..would you say he is giving that ENTIRE state a bad name too! The state a seller resides in doesnt mean a thing, there are counterfeit knives in every state.

But I agree, He kind of reminds me of a snake in the grass!

Is that a Queen frame under those non-Case stag handles? Seems that I read on here somewhere about a gang out of TN. that worked fakes on fleece-bay and a guy in KY. that was making up Case Tested parts knives. I remember the flood of fake stag handled Tested 54 patterns from fleece-bay a while back. Probably from the same counterfeiter. Lots of those fantasy knives out there. One man's fantasy is another man's nightmare.

You are right case88. I referenced only TN because this is my home state. I revised my statement from TN to ALL.
