I picked up a pair of Hen+Rooster Stag Stockman recently

Thought ya'll might like to take a gander at them

Top one is a Tennessee Walking Horse and the bottom one is the 4 3/8'' Cattle Knife

Love that GNARLY STAG

Nice! I really like that cattle knife. The scalse on both match nicely.
Is there any the significance to the shield orientation on H&R knives? Some are horizontally oriented, some vertically. I can't figure out why.

I've noticed that myself

Beats me

Maybe someone will come along and let us know

The Cattle Knife is my favorite too

I've got an Amherst Cutlery Trapper that has super Stag scales like the Cattle Knife

If you want to look back a few pages there is some pics posted of it as well

I have a quick question or two, if I may. Is the stag on those two H&R knives the English deer stag? Are their blades carbon (Solingen) steel or that German Rust free stainless steel? They look great Razor, no matter what type stag or blade steel they have. The stag used on them does look like some of that, that Amherst Cut. uses. That big equal end cattle stockman knife looks extra nice.

Nice enough that I would like to have one just like it to put in my barn.

Good catch with those two Razor.
