All About Pocket Knives

Got this off the bay last week. Really neat old knife EXCEPT that some HAMMERHEAD put it on a belt and raped it.
3 5/8th" long closed. Pretty, old smooth bone handles, steel bolsters and liners. Great snap, no wobbles. Big blade ridin a hair low. Straight match striker pulls on both blades.
Oh well, I got it cheap.

Pretty nice for a cheap knife!

Just speculation on my part but I think it may have been made by one of the cutlery companies in New England.The match striker nail mark is near identical to knives I have by American Knife Co,American Shear&Knife Co.,and H&B;all Connecticut companies.
Further the type face and style of stamp all seem to point to late 1800's production.Again JMHO

When did tang stamps become "sans serif", or lose their little footies?
