I thought I would retire my old Buck knife and start using a newer one. I will add this to my small collection. I'd like to share some pictures with you all.

O-si-yo,
I guess you know you are showing a Buck 119 from 1989. Instead of 420HC steel it is most likely 425m which some guys rave about. A year or two after that it changes to 420hc. But it all has the advantage of Paul Bos heat treatment and there is no better. I like 118s for deer butchering, 103s for skinning. But usually have a 301 or 303 in my pocket if I manage to get one.

This was one of the first good hunting knives I bought brand new. Its skinned alot of deer over the years. I would agree with you with the 103 for skinning. My son bought me a new 471 and it works good for skinning.
