All About Pocket Knives

My Uncle brought me a pocket knife from Germany in the early 70's. It has 2 blades. One about two and a quarter inches long and the smaller one is about one and a quarter inches. On the long blade near the joint it has stamped "Peter Klein" on one side and "Solengen Rostfrei" on the other. It looks like horn of some kind and is dark gray to black on both sides. I've Googled both names and have looked at an endless list of web sites with never being able to ID it or find any sort of history on it. Do any of you members have any ideas on any more places I can look whether it be books or other links?

A LITTLE information....

Goins' Encyclopedia of Markings does list this mark, but with no additional information, unfortunately. He has a guess of 1970-1990, which is when lots of German Cutlery houses in Solingen were making knives for import to the U.S. "Bowie".....really just large hunting knives....types were most common, but lots of slipjoints were imported as well. My GUESS is Mister Klein was an importer of some type, rather than the actual maker.....or there would probably be more information out there.

Rostfrei means "rust free" or basically a stainless steel, rather than a high carbon steel.....in case you hadn't found that out....
