Hey everyone,AS you can tell by the name I'm into Catts.
I was wondering if anyone has any catt display boxes they'd like to post pics of.
You see a few others from time to time, buck, remington, schrade etc but I don't remember seeing any catts except a razor display the sold on greedbay a few years ago.
thanks and have a great holiday.

Guys here is a Catt with NO pattern numbers, The tangs read: Cattaraugus Cutlery Co. Little Valley N.Y. The broken blade has no markings at all, and appears to be a punch but Im not sure?
I think the handles might be jigged honey bone but im not sure about that either??
I can only post cell phone pics and I could not get a clear pic of the tangs.
I know nothing about Catts so I am asking the great AAPK members here to help me decide if its OLD and a collector item, or one to pass up?
Any info at all on this would be great
Thanks, Marty.

It's an older one by the looks of the nail pull, looks to me like a Premium stock knife..3 7/8,,but I'll have to look it up tomorrow......If it were me, and the price is right I'd buy it.
if you don't want it...I know who would.....ME!

Thank you Catt57,
It looks like 4 inches to me... Did they make a 4 incher?
I did pick it up for what I think is a fair price, but since I know nothing at all about Catts I was buying on instinct alone!
The front handle has 2 cracks at the middle pin I dont see any on the back. I am starting to like it more and more though now that I can hold it in my hand!
Im looking forward to seeing more info
Thanks,
Marty.

WOW! Fantastic information Catt57, Thank you very much!
I really like the knife (esp the scales) in the shape it is in so I dont think I will send it to be cleaned. Would you?
If I decide to let-er-go you will be the first to know Catt.
Thanks again
Marty.

you're very welcome,glad to help.
I have a way that I clean them up that doesn't go too far,so they look natural.
Most guys on here say to not clean them.
In the case of that knife I would leave as is and enjoy.
take care

ozzie,Did you just win that on greed bay along with 2 primble boxes?
If so I was bidding on that one.
That particular box I do not have...yet but I have several others.
What I am look for is a picture of a wooden display cabinet that would have been on a counter like in a hardware store.
I have never seen one and need to!
In some other vintage knife catalogs, there are pictures of the wooden cabinets.(remington etc)
just need to find a picture,I wouldn't have thought with the amount of people here I'd have this much of a problem finding one...
go figure huh?

catt57,
That isn't the same box that was sold on eBay with the two Primbles, but I did purchase it from the same seller (I didn't need the Primble boxes)
Here is a photo out of a 2005 auction catalog of a Cattaraugus Knife Counter Display.
