All About Pocket Knives

Hi, I found this knife recently here in Oregon... it is about 3.75 closed and is a coke bottle type pattern... the shield is an odd shape and I was wondering about that. Also, is there a listing or value for this knife anywhere??? age? The stamps date to about 1900.

The value of the knife is subject to quality and condition and even though there are several books out there that generalize what a price may be I recommend that you look on Ebay at listings similar to your knife.

Hi, since posting this I have found a match on the shield to the Case knife BOMB SHIELD... but I'm sure this shape existed before Case. Anyone have insight on the origin of this shield and is it really supposed to be a BOMB shape?
