on page 318 of Sargents 6th edition, remington boxed assortment of scout knives do you think all of the knives in the picture are remingtons? The far right one nickle silver scales, I did not think remington made a scout with that handle material, and the 5th one from the right made me think also, just wondering. stockman

Good morning Stockman :D ,

I do not have #6, but have #2 & #3 and that is what I am looking at.

As far as I know, Remington never made an Official all metal Scout knife. Case made a four blade utility pattern, but it is not Official.
It has embossed NS handles. The front has a Boy Scout standing wearing the old "Smokey Bear" hat holding Old Glory.
I believe that is the one I am looking at in my books and maybe (?) the one you see.

Remington Collector may know for sure, hopefully he can update this.

To my knowledge Remington never made a scout knife with metal handles. And that 5th knife from the left, I don't think it is a Remington either, it has a shield like they used on the trapper pattern, but that would be incorrect for a scout knife. I believe they needed a few fillers to fill the box for the picture. Here are a few of my scout knives.
