Here is some information regarding the History of the Hubertus Knife Company.

The company was founded by Kuno Ritter in 1932, called The Ritter Knife Company.
Kuno Ritter and his crew made the first Boy Scout knives for the German Boy Scouts and produced many Styles of Hunting Knives as well.
In the 1950's the growth of the Knife Industry took a leap and William Ritter son of Kuno Ritter changed the Company's name to HUBERTUS.
The name HUBERTUS in German means "The Saint of the Hunters".
Walter Ritter and wife Beate took controll of the operation of the Company in 1984 and are still producing these knives in a little factory in Solingen Germany.

Hubertus knives are all hand made and are some of the finest quality knives still in production today!

Mailing Address:
HUBERTUS KNIVES

First I want to say thank you for adding a Hubertus thread!!!!
Does anybody know an e-mail address or contact to get repair work or warranty work done by Hubertus. I have a Lilliput that the blade peeks out a little as does the backspring when closed. It's almost like the spring is to large or bent up a little to far. It's still a wonderful knife but not perfect. Maybe there is someone in the USA that can fix them? I live in west central Florida. I'm sure you all can relate to something like this. I own five different Hubertus knives and love them all.

Maybe Muskrat Man can help? I'm surprised he hasn't posted here yet.

wazu, you might want to get in contact with Bill DeShivs, it is my understanding that he is the only Certified Hubertus repairman in the USA.

I have contacted Bill DeShives about a Eig Cuttlery Pic-lock that I want him to check out. I'll send him some pics of the Lilliput also. Thanks for the info.
