I'd say it was buffed up alright $3,700.00 WOW!!!

So in the real world does that increase the price of other knives in it's class or is it a one time fluke that other folks will ignore?? The knife market seems to be what a person is willing to pay in the moment...Not what some book or expert has laid out in a guidline no matter how much sense it makes...

I'm just pondering here ::doh:: ::smirk:: ::smirk::

Well, many buyers of antique pocket knives are absolutely MESMERIZED by shiny overbuffed blades. This seems to be especially true for older Case knives. You can show someone a very nice unused old Tested with blades that are full and unsharpened but are stained, and they will turn their nose up at it. Show them the same knife with 20% blade wear and with shiny overbuffed blades, and they will go crazy over it. I never understood this mentality, but it seems to be prevalent.

I don't think you could buff it up enough to get me to pay $3700 !!!
But it is in great shape.
