All About Pocket Knives

I have owned this knife for many years but know next to nothing about it other than where it comes from
I have seen several similar knives on the auction site but there is little detail.
It is obviously a well made knife with a nice feel to it. It is still pretty sharp with no nicks or gouges. Some minor surface rust is present.
The sheath seems a bit primative for such a well made knife. Any comments or details would be appreciated. Thanks, Curt[

Hey nice knife, I don't know alot about it. Iam at work and have a ton of books at home. I have one book here at work Levine's Guide to Knives and their Values 5th Edition

The only thing it states is Hellberg, J.A.:
no Trademark or Reference
Location: Eskilstuna
Made in: Sweden
Type of Firm: Mfr.?
Dates: 1900-1978

So the only thing partly useful in this that you didn't know is the dates it was made. When I get home this afternoon I will look in some of my other books to see if there is more detail. Hope this lil information helped.

Great knife . It looks very Functional. I have a Kinfolk that is a lot like it. !

Hellberg and Holmberg were two of Eskilstunas better makers. I've collected the knives of both makers for years and have owned hundreds of them. The quality is equal between the two makers. They seemed to have modeled many of their knives after Marble's patterns. In my opinion, the knives are of better quality and more cleanly built than Marble's. They're still relatively unknown compared to the better known makers, but interest has certainly picking in recent years.
