PLEASE don't beat on me for trying a cheap China Canoe!

It's a pretty thing and WICKED sharp!


Only thing I can find to nit pick is that the blades don't open straight out. At the angle the main comes out in many cases the belly of the blade is gonna do all the work.

Now, show some Canoe pics and show me some that open straight!

i won't pick on you, if you won't tell that i own a Rough Rider stockman

Here are mine. The first two are German Eye in Delrin and the third is my lovely Canal Street canittler in smooth polished bone which I hope qualifies.

Nice guys, I like this pattern; fits in in the pocket nice; and I have had a few over the years. This is the only one I own at the present; 2000 Case with Mammoth tooth

Lucky? Could you possibly post a pic with the main blade open all the way to the stop?

Actually that's what I hope all of you will do....

On the plus side I got my RR Canoe main blade to open almost straight out.

On the minus side the spring has gotten pretty lazy.

I introduced a little sideways wobble too, but putting that end in a vise between leather parts of a glove tightened that up.

So it doesn't snap open or closed but opens out to a place I like better.

Just got to figure out a better way next time.

In the meantime, bring on those pics!

I see most of these Canoes open the same. GOT to come up with a way that doesn't make the blade lazy! My RR is more like a friction knife now than a slip joint springer!

I am haveing a problem with what the members are showing us.

You very cleary said you wanted to see a Conoe shown with BOTH BLADES opened to the MAX.(Like you did show yours) Do to yours only one blade opens straight with the knife. The other blade opens short of what they should open.

I think that is what your looking for, or am I WRONG ???? ..... ...

Perhaps they are not reading under the photo???

This is the only photo I have with one blade open to the MAX and it is straight with the knife.

I agree justold that's what I want to see.

That however looks more like a cigar or equal end pattern than a Canoe.

I agree with you on the NOT a conoe;

Perhaps I listed it WRONG in my files do to it being listed WRONG on ebay, where I got it from.

I see it is also called a CIGAR as you said.

So I corrected my file to read "Queen Cigar NKCA Big Stag 1981 # 1416.

I like the the canoe and I don't mind the angle. I have a couple I use every day. There are other patterns that are angled also. Here's a few to look at.

I hadn't noticed the blade to handle angle in use. I don't have a favorite knife style yet but I like the stockman and trapper and the canoe is becoming useful.

Ok, since Queen is obviously confused as to what it is I think since it is in a pattern that gives me chills you ought to just send it to me!
