Case XX trapper pre 1920s

I have a casee xx TRAPPER THAT belonged to my grAND FATHER IT IS THE RED BONE type, problem is that blade has been sharpened so much that blade is about 2 and half inches long, wondering if WR Case would put me a new blade in it even tho I know it wont be origional, but would make the knife useful?? Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated keith r Pemberton

HI!
I would suggest that you just leave it as it is. I find that I cherish old knives that have seen some use far more than a mint one. You no doubt have some history associate with the knife and it brings back fond memories. Go out a buy a new one and store the old one for your future generations to admire. You have a nice piece that deserves respect, not replacement. Just my thoughts from a collector of 30 years plus.
