What's a knife opener or knife pick? Got any pics? (I've never heard of 'em.)

A opener is a piece of steel that was made by the cutlers to assist them in opening the blades of pocketknives. They were also used by the salesmen and sometimes given out to dealers with large orders. Some had handles attached.

Here are a couple Camillus celluloids with a knife pick...although it's a modern Bulldog pick. Insert the beveled end into the nick, grasp the other side, and pull the blade upwards....or handle away.
