I use a cold blue on all fo my items, knives, buckles and hardware. I have tried several products, I think the oxpho blue from Brownells seems to work the best. The real key, with any of the cold blues is to get the metal CLEAN. There cant be any oils or polishing compound, even oil from your fingers will mess up the finish. I will be galsd to give you a run down on the process if you like.
Yall be good, I have to get to the shop. Working on a real nice Buck 110 with Ironwood scales.
