I was going to a rig in Factoryville Pa. yesterday and decided to stop at a little antique store on my way back home. I walked inside and noticed right next to the register he had a hoard of what I call cheap knives with a few Goodun's mixed in them. Well I found a nice little bone handled Robeson jack and a good gunstock budding knife with ivory swedge. Most of the stamp is worn and i Dont really know exactly what it is,,but i can read cut-co New York on the tang!
So after i picked through e'm i asked him the magical question,,, hey you got any tucked back anywhere? He said yeah, but there mostly broke or simply cheap old wooden handled knives. So he goes and gets a big box full of knives and starts dumping them out on the counter! I thought to myself Da*&%$m! He just dumped bone handled coke bottle folding hunters, whittlers and jacks out everywhere! By the time i was through i ended up with a Super Clean walnut Schatt & Morgan Cutlery Co. Titusville Pa. COTTON SAMPLER a Nice W.r. Case & Sons pruner, thats stamped PRUNER on the blade and a sweet bone handled Hammer Brand Walden New York barlow with stamped bolsters! None of the 5 knives have a cracked handle and all have full blades and good snap! I got ALL 5 for $130 bucks! I didnt even jew him a cent! Thats the price he gave me!!!!!!! Once i bought a clean green swirl W.R. Case & Sons whittler in OK city for $65 bucks,,,,i' thinking i blew that deal out-da water with the Acorns i found yesterday! If i can get a buddy to take pictures from his phone and email them too me,,i'll post them soon!
