Is it possible to set the permissions on this site so that when you click on a URL, it opens in a a new window? I can right click and make it do that but I'm lazy.

hey wullie all jokes aside and i took a look.

i didnt set it up but it looks like if you have ineternet explorer 7 then to
get windows to do what you are talking about i think it is

open internet explorer
go to tools
go to internet options
go to settings where it says how windows displayed in tabs.

that might be it.was just looking around.
i would like to set my pc to do the same thing if i get it
i will let you know.

I believe you can set it up in Firefox to have your browser open a new window when you click on a url. I use Firefox also and will check it out. But it will be a couple days.

From Firefox I get the following.

You can open a link or bookmark in a new tab by holding down Ctrl and left-clicking or by middle-clicking a link.
Holding down the Shift key in addition toggles loading a link in the background.
Links that do not specify a target window open by default in the current tab.

Ctrl and left-clicking or by middle-clicking will open in a new tab rather than open a new window and leave your current tab open.

As you mentioned you can right click on a link that will give you a menu with the top line reading Open Link in New Window. That's all I found.
