"Frankenknife" as Jonet143 would have said. Looks to me like a Buck clip blade has been used to replace the original. Note how obvious the pin shows up in the bolster. Also, seller states that the secondary blade shows signs of having been sharpened while the primary (Buck) clip blade is unsharpened. That would not make sense if the Buck blade were the original, at least not to me it wouldn't.
My computer screen won't allow me to read the model number on the tang of the Buck blade. Can anyone else make it out?

I think they just dropped in a blade from a real Buck folding hunter #317. That is my guess, because i doubt this left any factory like that.

Buck blades in a ka-bar knife. I going to guess it didn't leave the factory like that either.

I agree, 317 blades put in Kabar frame and scales. Guess they like the simulated stag better than black Delrin.....300Bucks

This is just my hypothesis and I have no rock solid proof to back it up but I believe camillus made both the buck slippies and some of the newer kabar slippies. They also used steel pins in nickel bolsters for strength, this knife shows these attributes. I'm thinking this is could be an end of days knife or possibly a screw up where they got some blades mixed up. A good example is the schrade uncle henrys with old timer blades and vice versa from the last days before the factory closed.

Dang, Its starting to be long enough I let that situation slip my mind. Does the Kabar look like a Kabar, are all the rivets the right material. A parts knife build out is a good possibility. Especially with no box, etc. Lots of build out Bucks have shown up on the Aukshun site but lots have odd scales or rivets.......

don't mean much useem. I have seen serveral old stockman knives where the master and spey blades have seen little to no sharpening while the sheepsfoot is nearly worn out. It all depends who has it obviously in the cases of those stockmen they were whittlers or leatherworkers
