While I was glad to be able to help in identifying what type of sword this is I'm not strong enough in the antiques field to help with value. The piece has obvious damage to the hilt and is nowhere near as ornate as I've seen this type worked up before. I'll post addresses for you to two reputable sword enthusiast forum sites via PM.
