Nice collection there Pete. I only own one (stainless steel handle) and I carry it to restaurants when I go out to eat. Sometimes they don't have steak knives and I use it to cut up my salad. I don't like to try and put a whole lettuce leaf and a half 'o' tomato in my mouth at one time. I've been lookin for an automatic one without the nail groove. Hard to clean salad dressing out of the groove.

There are a lot of collectors who would love to have your collection..

I have made my living growing Florida Citrus in one form or another for 26 years and you know what's funny is that I have never known a Citrus Farmer to ever use a "Citrus/Melon Knife" to cut fruit. They always whip out a Case trapper or stockman and cut on their fruit. Now that's not to say folks do not have Citrus knives and appreciate them it's really just the opposite, they appreciate them so much they immediately put them up or into their collection.

When the days were a little more lucrative in Citrus and the Chemical and Fertilizer companies had a nice cushion on their profits getting a nice Citrus knife was almost guaranteed as the individual company would try to entice you with hats, shirts and knives.

These days your lucky if you get a plastic measuring cup to use the $600.00 a gallon product you just bought from them...

I am curious though, what company names are written on the knives?

I just noticed the one knife with the fork, I would have to say that has to be pretty rare....

the one with the fork is marked Paul Henckles INOX Solagen. The rest are Schrade Walden, Colonial, Schrade Walden N.Y., Case XX Stainless, Schrade NY USA Stainless, Ulster, Hoffritz Germany, Queen, Bristol Line Germany. Glad you enjoyed!! Ken

OK then,

I'm not sure how the Case Club knives fit in this thread...but since they are here, and they are stag...here is a Linder sausage knife in stag. I've heard these called "Picnic Knives" with one blade for sausage and one for fruit/cheese...the shorter blade is serrated, but it might not show.

I like these knives a lot too . Don't know why, but I'm partial to the simple single blade version. ...although the one with the fork is very neet (I've never seen one of those). ...and how could you not like Bill's double end genuine stag. Great knives. Thanks for sharing the pictures

I bought this one sometime in the mid 70´s in an old hardware store in Queretaro, Mexico, tang stamp reads:

Bonsa
Solingen
Germany

Blade is stainless (stamped Rostfrei on tang on back of main blade) and it is 3 5/8 inches closed.

Not my thread...no apology necessary. They just kind of caught me by surprise, when I was expecting fruit knives and the like.

They are nice knives in any event.

And I still like Ken's collection.

El Lobo, Thanks for the comments. I don't have any fruit knives but, Ken's collecton is ecellent.

Here are a couple I had someone give to me yesterday, the one is a lockblade and the 2 blade knife has some nice half-stops which are nice..
