Works well. Picture not so great but what does anyone think about the handles. Kinda black with sparkels in it. Maker and vintage would be great if anyone has any info. Thanx all....... Ken

,
I have owned a couple of Edgemasters in my life, the only one I own now is a "My-T-Mite" shown here.
If I remember correctly, they were in business in the late Fourty's, early Fifty's. The patterns I have seen are always shadow/no bolsters as yours and mine and they all had fancy plastic handles. Mine is green with white and gray swirls. It is only about 1 1/2 inches closed.
They only made 'Fast' knives.
There is collector interest in this brand also.

Travels like a bullet & locks up tight. Mint with some pepper spots.
BTW: I think they were located in New Jersey, but not postive on that.

You might check with lt632ret over in BladeForums. He posts a lot in the Schrade forum there. He wrote a book on pre- 1958 automatics. If anyone knows about it, LT will.

Orvet is correct Mr L is the definitive answer.
What little doc. I have refers back to schrade walden 1946-1950.
Makes sense cause cause bothe examples posted look a lot like schrades.
Kingston Imperial had something to do with them after 1947, Good Luck.
Really nice auto's before auto's were cool. They were rated pretty high.
