All About Pocket Knives

It has been brought to my attention and I am very happy to report that "Blade Runner" and my self will have articles appearing in the next edition of Knife World magazine. I think that this is a credit to the kind people on this web site that inspire us to dig deep for information to satisfy our interest in this hobby. Please feel free to comment, "good or bad" I am sure we can take it either way, about them and let us know what you would like to see in the future. We are both working on future articles. I am doing one on the Beaver Falls Cutlery Companies "worlds largerst tableware" so if you have any information let me know. Of course I am sure that I have driven everyone crazy with my request for photo's on Tidioute Cutlery companies. Please look at your knives and send me a pic if you have one. I hope to complete the book by this fall and be at the Queen Show next summer with it. BRYAN, come on , you know you want to be there for that.

I have not received my full copy of the July issue yet ...of course, but am looking forward to reading both your article and Blade Runner's article.

I dug out an old copy a while back with Blade Runner's article about the trapper pattern. That one was a great read. ...as was your January article about Tidioute

This issue will be a great one to get ahold of IMO and I'm patiently waiting


I'm going to start working on the lady friend right now to try and get her to take the trip with me to next year's Queen Show. Will you personally sign my copy of your book when I get one? if I wait in line will ya?

pa knives is right, everyone on this site is a great bunch of folks, like family really. I just hope everyone enjoys reading my article as much as I enjoyed writing it. It is on the cover titled "Yesterday's Case Knife" for those of you who do not know me. This was my third cover piece for Knife World and this one was the most enjoyable because after several months of photography lessons from Mark Zalesky, he let me shoot some of the pictures. Boy! its hard to take good pictures of knives, but Mark is a real pro at this and gave me some really good tips. I appreciate everyones support and thanks for all the good spirited knife discussion. Blade runners story is really really great. I was throughly impressed with the indepth knowledge that he has. I am proud to consider him a friend. Maybe someday we can work together on a project. NOW that would be even better. Thanks Gary your one of the good ones. You will be seeing a lot more from this guy folks, I am sure of it.

No Problem Bryan, "Case's Pre-Dotted 54 Pattern" was in the Nov 2005 issue. "Ike's Knives" was in the March issue of 2006.

pa knives as I told you before your articles are superb, what I like about them is in a day and time that money has got in to the knife business, and older knives are fast leaveing the reach of the average working man, you still reach out to that very group. A rare tallant my friend, keep up the excellent work.
