What can I do to reattach a loose shield on a 6254 Case bone trapper? Thanks for your help!

Brand new, carried just a few times. I noticed that the edge of the shield stuck up just above the surface of the handle, just enough to get the edge of my fingernail under ... well, wouldn't you know it, the shield popped right out. It is not pinned, but appears to have been inadequately glued in.

That's kind of what I was thinking, super glue ... ::paranoid:: just didn't know if there was something better than that! Thanks!

super glue works about as good as anything. If you're worried about strength try 5 minute epoxy

You might want to gouge out the inletting a drop so the shield is more flush when it's reglued (assuming you haven't done it already).
