Anyone plan on attending this show in Harrisonburg VA this weekend?

I'm am considering making the drive 3+ hours, but I think it might be worth it.

I am also curious if anyone will have a table at the show.

Howdy Tom,

I plan to be there when they open at 9am this Saturday. I attended the show last year and had a great time. Around 200 tables or so with lots to choose from. I believe there will be 2 or 3 members from AAPK there. Look forward to seein' the fine folks from this site. Hope 'ya can make it.

I plan on driving up from Chesapeake, VA Saturday morning. I have never attended this show or any knife only show before.

I plan to drive down Friday morning, and attend the show Friday and about a half day on Saturday. If anyone wants to meet on Saturday, PM me and I'll send my cell #.

I've thought about going, it's 4.5 hours for me. I talked with some Makers who say they usually attend but will not be going this year so i am wondering about the overall Table holders attendance?

I'll make a couple of calls and see if I can scare up a buddy to go - we'll see.

Went to the show today and had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Tom (Chase) and Fran (Sauconian) Great people! Thanks fellas' for comin' out and introducin' yerselves! I hope you all made it home without incident, them winds were really somethin'.

Note: I was originally gonna' tell y'all what a mean, onry, scary fella' Fran is, but I reckon you all know that already!

Don - Glad that you were able to go. Did you pick up anything nice? See anything that you really wanted but couldn't get?

Chase - Sorry I was not able to make it, my buddy had to work so I decided to stay home.
Thanks for making the effort at meeting though. Maybe if you can make it to one of the Shows in Seveirville TN this year..

Sorry 'ya couldn't make it Hillbill, there didn't appear to be as many vendors as there were last year, and not as many attendees either. But I still had a good 'ol time. There were still lots of knives to be seen and I managed to pick up a couple. I bought a 1978 (2 dot) Case Large Congress and an Amber Bone Seahorse Whittler, nothin' fancy but I really like both those patterns. I saw lots of knives I'd like to get but unfortunately my bank account says otherwise I had never seen or held a "Case Classic" (Queen made?) whittler before, and now have a broken fingernail to tell the tale. Wow, those springs were almost too strong! I really liked the knife, from the size to the blades. And it wasn't that bad a price either, compared to ones I've seen on Ebay and such. Now, if I can just find my camera, I'll take pictures of my new purchases

By the way, I do get down to TN at least once a year, I'll have to try and schedule a vist during one of the shows at the Sevierville Convention Center.

I got approval from "the boss" and decided to go back to the show today (last day) and pick up that Case Classics Whittler. The weather was great and no wind, had a real nice talk with a vendor from Bristol TN. Glad I went back.

First Knife Show for me..........and I had a great time.

The most important piece of the show was being able to meet Fran and Don and share stories and thoughts!

I did not purchase anything at the show, although I did get a couple at an antiques shop enroute back home. I'll post pictures when I have time to take them.

Fran & Don- I appreciate you gents taking time out of your knife show shopping to spend time with me. It is a pleasure to have met you!

BTW don't I recognize "Lil Sauconian" from a post a while back? Little feller with the cut thumb? He does favor ole' Fran some, but I believe he's a tad better lookin'.
