Micarta ?

Does paper micarta; come in colors beside white? And what exactly; is it made of? Thanks.

I've seen paper micarta in ivory, white and black. I know Jantz carries ivory and black. I want to say I've seen grey too, but I could be mistaken. As far as I know it's just very very fine (paperlike) fabric, something with a very tight weave, so as not to show (like canvas or linen does). Or, it could just be industrial paper, think maybe like craftpaper or something, on a big roll.

it's just that; paper micarta. laminated paper, I've seen it in white, black, off white, and black with white and red pinstripes in it. It polishes real nice, and will really take a shine.

GEE MM did you for get the YELLOW Micarta slabes I sent you ?

Did you use it for any one yet?

no, haven't used it yet. I did forget the yellow :oops: I ground on some and it looks pretty nice.

That piece is no work of mine that I can recall. I've only made one full tang knife with a bolster and It's laying right here on the desk.
