REMINGTON ???

I traded for this expecting nothing.its quality matches or excedes any of my german knives.It is tang stamped remington over umc(no circle) on all 4 blades with germany on the back of one of the large blades.Stampings look factory to me.is this a factory fake,one that someone messed with or does it have a story.I will probally carry this one awhile it will make a good conversation piece any way.Anyone have info or comments?

Could you post pictures with the blades open? Also with closeup pictures of the tang stamps.

Just going by what I can see, I would call it an unauthorized production knife. Remington didn't sell the rights to use their name on a German knife, but I have saw a few of them. Thet seem to be of decent quality, but are not a geniune Remington. I'm not sure which factory they came from.

Good looking stag on that one jrlw1969. Looks like a nice knife wherever it was made.

Thanks phil.Seems like the more you learn the less you know about these old knives?did you go to the show in somerset?
