Alright so I cut my knife's pins and cleaned it all out and I have pin stock and I go to hit the pin. Not too bad I think. I hit it a few more times pretty gently too and the pin bends. I ended up with like 3 weird looking 7's. Any advice or tips guys?

peening pins requires a gentle touch and the pins need to be as short as possible. think about a pinhead and strike around the edges to slightly mushroom the pin. start with a file and true it after cutting till it's just proud of the handle material, then peen.

sounds like you're leaving your pin too long. You only need a pin's width sticking out of each side. ::tu::
