Can anyone help me ID this knife?

Hi all,
My stepfather left me this knife several years ago when he passed away. I know nothing about knives, but the original price is still on it at $49.95. The box says "Parker Usa" in script, and then underneath that it says Eagle Brand Knives. It also says in smaller print Made in Jacksonville, Alabama. There is a number on the end of the box: A1395. The knife came with a leather belt sheath, and I think it is a switchblade type of knife. From what little information I've learned so far, the handle looks like what they call 'stag'. The total length of the knife when opened is about 5 inches. When you open the knife, there is a small marking in the blade that says Parker with some sort of bird under that, and then USA under that. The writing is placed where the blade opens and closes. I know he purchased it probably in the 80's at some time. This is really stumping me and any info would be greatly appreciated! I have pics to email if anyone wants to get a better look. Thanks so much everyone!
