I know this seller just had a cotton sampler that was questionable, but I can't understand how he would not know the difference between jigged bone stag and stag. The tang stamp on this knife clearly indicates 6.5 which is for jigged bone stag and it is not stag handled as he represents it to be.

As he states in his description, he is not up on modern Case markings. The slight separation between the "6" and the "5" (with the "." between) is probably throwing him off and he is just reading the "5383".

The seller does show the knife as a 6.5 in the listing and in the description he even put a ? by the word stag (stag?). I'd have to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. I don't think he's deliberately trying to decieve anyone, just isn't real sure what he's selling.

Didn't look at the title, just read his description, the title does say 6.5383 so it is a little funny that he hasn't discovered that the 6.5 indicates faux stag. I would still be inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.

If the seller knew anything about Case knives he would know this is not stag because the scales match too well!
