Hello out there; I am new to Case collecting. I was browsing through some web sites that sell Case pocket knives and a few have caught my attention. I like the Baby Butterbean and Half Whittler patterns the best, so far. Does any one out there collect these two patterns and if so, can you give me some pointers as to what to watch out for, or maybe point me in the right diresction for research material, tips, etc., ?
Thanks

Your question dependson how you will collect. If you are a guy that wants to buy newer made knives than the butterbean will be much better. If you like older knives than the 1/2 whittler is the best because the butterbean was introduced in the last 10 years.

Hello Sexton knifeworks;
I did notice that the Half Whittler pattern has had some suttle changes, especially in the blade design. I like the older ones better. I figured that it will take some time to hunt a good one down. I usually like to buy knives that I can hold at point of purchase so I guess this is where the fun comes in. All them knife shows!
