Bear and Son Damascus

Does anyone here know much about Bear and Son damascus knives.
I have thought about getting some for filework and custom handles.
My first question is - How is the quality?
Second - Would they sell for enought to justify the labor involved in customizing?
I have dreams of a Private lable type knife production. Something like Wendell Carson's Fightin Bull or like a Hand customized Fight'n Rooster

I've never handled a Bear and son damascus, but they look good.
As for your dream, well, having seen the photos of your work since I've been a member of this site, go for it! You obviously have the talent, so it is just a matter of developing a following of knife knuts.
I am a fan of Wendell Carson, his Toothpicks with MOP or Abalone handles are among the finest TPs I own, and I do have a bunch of them.

These things are impossible for me to photograph, but here is a couple; bottom three; Mammoth Ivory, Red Lip MOP and Strawberry bone.
Second photo shows my obsession with these things. Perhaps will illustrate to agteacher that there are some of us with an obsession for certain patterns. A market waiting with mney in hand to buy a new, fancy knife.

I don't know about Bear and Son damascus knives but I do have a BEAR MGC CUTLERY Damascus Trapper.

Like cutacroshorty, I've got a couple of Bear knives from when they were still Bear MGC. I actually have one from before Victorinox bought the company. But nothing recent since the Griffey's took it back...and no damascus, unfortunately. I have found my examples to be of reasonable fit, finish and value. I believe the damascus was first produced by Fain Edwards and Jim Parker...don't know if anything has changed in the process.
I don't have any as nice as cutacroshorty's though.
