Hi,
Glad i found a cool discussion board to talk about knives. I'm French and here there's only a few places on the web to discuss about blades. A few days ago i tried to discuss on a french (lots of belgian too) board supposely dedicated to Knives and i recieved a lots of insults when i've told that i was a hunter. Weird but those people argue about their passion for blades but they don't want any hunter in it.they are part of the new ecolo-anti-hunting squad .
I'm mostly interested in american stuff for my blades (as for all the rest of my gear, except for some of my rifles that are from czechoslovakia  ).
I use Buck, Camillus (i collect a few), Schrade, Knives of Alaska, Ontario, Case xx.....i really enjoy the place for all the info i can get (the caseXX data-base is fantastic)...i'm also interested in military pocket-knives.

Hope i'll have a ggod time here, and if you're anti-hunter tell me first i don't want to recieve insults anymore on that, i'm a hunter and proud of that.

Regards
All the best
JW

Glad you've joined us here at AAPK.

There are lots of hunters and fishermen here. I hunt deer, turkey, squirrels , rabbits, dove, and occasionally waterfowl.
What do you hunt in France?

Phil

Hello Mr. Wilson

My great Ant-Sister is Dutch and my name is French. Perhaps some French man jumped the borderline at night and made a deposit.
To bad you live across the pond and collect USA knives do to the shipping cost. I am some others here have knives made in France.

So strange the club not like talking hunting and yet many knives use the name hunter and are used by hunters.

Is it a female owned site for knives only???

MEN what next !!!

Don't know if it's a female who rule the pack but they 've treated me like a bag of dirt, you know the insults like every hunter is an "alccolic" a "sadistic killer", and the webmaster sent me a private message asking me not to talk anymore about hunting. In the same time some people are posting topics, about skinner knife...and lots of blades made for hunting.
Lot's of people on this french board are custom knife makers, if you buy some, ask befor if the guy is an "anti-hunting"...
I don't buy anything from people like that, as i don't buy any chinese blade, i trust the Amercian way of doing knives.

Thanks for the bienvenue.

Regards

JW

Welcome to AAPK ::welcome:: I'm a hunter also - Duck and geese I don't do anymore but do have an occasional dove shoot or quail hunt. That's pretty much it for birds. I used to enjoy deer, feral pigs, bear, elk, and caribou when I was younger. I pretty much stick to deer within 100 miles of home now and pride myself with one shot kills. Only 53 but my body has sustained a lot of damage. I never had an OFF switch - that's what I tell my doctor. Which is true - I'd get tired at a certain point but would keep going and going. ::shrug:: Welcome!

::welcome:: to the site. ::tu:: I hunted when I was younger,...just never seem to have time anymore. If someone is anti-hunting,if they are also vegetarians,I can at least respect their point of view(although not agree with it).But the anti-hunter who also eats meat,..that ,is ridiculus ,..and not respecting my point of view,I find pretty insulting.

Hi from Texas.

I still hunt. Not like I used to. My fifteen year old stepson likes to hunt so I'm trying to teach him right.

Great bunch of gentlemen here and a lot of good knowledge to share.

Enjoy,
Willie
