Its probably a Case, but its not a Case Brothers! Somebody did a little shaving and re-stamping!

I find it truly awesome how y'all can spot fakes. I still like those green bone handles on that knife though.

I spotted that one yesterday and thought it the tang stamp didn't look original. I also spotted several others that had very poor photographs that looked questionable. It seems the risks involved with buying vintage knives on eBay have reached an extreme. They always don't offer a return policy and for a good reason.

Well, the knife is a Case, But its all wrong for a Case Bros. jigging is wrong, stamp is wrong and new and Case Bros. never used a shield with Case stamped in it. But what gets me about the knife is the shield, it possibly could be as old as the W.R. Case & Sons era.
