For reasons I really do not fully always understand i get ideas I just can't get out of my head and doing kitchen knives with stone scales is one of them. I did two - 6 knife sets for Christmas gifts for my two daughters and their husbands but I wanted to try ew materials.

So over the past week I have done three sets and thought I would share some pictures of the Dinosaur Gem Bone Set and the Burma jadite.

I really am not quite sure what I will do with them yet but I really like how they turned out.

Just beautiful!

When I decide to do some full tang patterns, I know who to contact for some of the most awesome looking handle work.

The handles look great and you did a splendid job. My problem with stone? It tends to crack.
