Here are 2 Muskrats a 1976 and a USA 65-69. Look at the tang stamps and notice the tangs on the USA are both stamped on the same side with no stamps on the other side. And the 76 is stamped on one blade each side. Is this common? Did they stamp the USA's different? Also notice the size of the Muskrat stamps the small stamp is the USA. ::dang:: :?

Has anyone seen a Case Muskrat that is tang stamped on the front side both blades and no tang stamp on the back side at all?

Hi Martys,

I also see a marked difference in the jigging pattern, and the nail nicks in the blades.

Notice these pictures of the Muskrat. On the front side the tangs are stamped and the backside no stamps.

I know I’m late to the party by over a decade but Case did not assign a pattern number to muskrats and instead stamped them “MUSKRAT”
