All About Pocket Knives

Made another trip and visited my favorite pawnshop once again...made it home with a lighter wallet and heavy pocket...today's haul was middle'n nice...

First we have a 1996 Fight"n Rooster "Big Apple" stockman. This one caught the ex's eye and she insisted I give it a home...really had to twist my arm as you can guess...



Next is this 1995 Bulldog 3 blade cigar...the colors swirl nicely and again the ex help my pick it (she liked the purple in the scales) and again with much arm twisting I picked it up.



Last is one I picked out all by myself...lol. This big 4 dot Case Sharktooth caught my eye. It's rounded contours feel very nice in the hand and it is a very handsome knife. Matter of fact I think I may need to talk with Redrummd about something fancy for the scales...lol.



I am sure there will be a reason to go back next week...got to be some reason to drive an hour...maybe I will need a screw or a nut I can't find here in town.....after all I think there are still a hundred or so assorted Bulldogs and Fight'n Roosters, and a nother hundred Cases still there...not to mention the Bokers and other assorted goodies!

Wise purchases, Absintheur... and it seems like you've got a good consultant !

Next question ::: Where did you say this pawn broker was located ???

The pawn shop is located...ummm...in the Bermuda triangle...yea...that's it...lol...I'm not done cherry picking yet! Actually it is in Lafayette In. And it is one of the nicest pawnshops I have seen outside of Vegas...not huge but big enough to keep a couple full time jewelers busy and have a staff of about 10 working at one time. They buy a lot of estates and just a few weeks ago bought one with about 350 knives. Quite a few common Case and such but also a lot of Bulldog and some Fight'n Rooster, Hen and Rooster, Boker, etc. I have my eye on a few more yet.

The do have a nice 5 blade Case trapper for those who like the big multi-blade knives.

Hell, the pawn shops here want $200.00 for an old, worn out VCR.

Ab... I don't think I can make the trip, to that pawn shop - but I hafta congratulate you, on the cherries you've picked so far ! (Doncha just love knife guys ?)

CCBill... the problem with your pawn shops is, 'cause the Texans haven't figured out DVD's - ya'll are still watching tapes. (And ya'll talk about us ignert Arkies !)
