I bought this Seahorse Whittler at a gun show a couple of months back. It is 6.5 bone stag. Looks almost like genuine stag doesn't it?

Here's one of GECs finest. #38 Grinling Whittler brown bone Beaver shield OKCA 2015 Show commemorative knife #43 of 50. Excellent everything, and so smooth. Great knife.

2014 Seahorse Whittler, as ground blades, Caramel bone. Bone looks like Salmon flesh to me, not caramel. 4 in closed, 6 1/4 open. Stout front bolster so lock up is rock solid as usual on Seahorses. Action is still smooth and not difficult. Snap is great, feels tight and tough. As ground blades never show prints or need buffed. Used this to cut sheetrock, base molding, whittling sticks, cut rope, unbox a move, marshmallow sticks etc etc and it never looks scratched up. 54 smackers new, fabulous value for the buck. Great purchase. Sharpens so easy, nice stout blade takes a long bevel on the edge. It's rock solid after lots of use and a pleasure to use. Not bad to look at either. Nothing wrong with it.

These are two of my favorites, both Larry Hayes customs. The small one is a copy of an old Remington pattern and is a hump back, split back, lock back whittler.

Man some nice Whittlers here here are two of my favorites a Schrade 804 and a Western 6504.

Love the old red bones Guarddog, know what years they were made? Thanks for putting these up, great looking, they ooze history and rugged endurance, built to last.

....dj, who made the humpback???......I have a schatt & morgan like it and and also a smaller Robeson, both made by queen!!!.......... ...........

The knife Larry patterned it after was a Remington R6816. and is almost identical including the steep clip. The Larry Hayes version is an incredable piece of precision. It locks up tight, but when you release the lock, the weight of the blade closes it. Larry is an incredably talented knifemaker. I have about a dozen of his knives, and a number of knives he has re-scaled or completely rebuilt. I don't know if other companies did that exact pattern, but I'd love to see some. ____Dave

Mighty fine looking whittlers Q How about this old pocket worn, well loved Boker I just picked up. Looks like it's had a few quality whittlin' sessions under it's belt. Blades are tight, sharp as razors, half stop on the secondary, and it still snaps really good. 1869 - 1944 if my info is correct. cheers

1999 Case Balloon/Swell Center Whittler p. #6383 Saw cut Burnt Cinnamon bone. Large and small clip, pen. 3 1/2 closed, 5 3/4 open. Very light, great carry, thin, small, unobtrusive, back up blades if one dulls, don't use it for a whittler but an EDC and it's great for it.

Here's a little flash to go with my stag whittlers. made by Queen in 1994 and rescaled by Larry Hayes.

Robeson SurEdge split spring Swell Center/Balloon Whittler. Clip, pen, coping. 6 in open, 3 1/2 closed. Great fit and finish, transitions, pins, springs. Decent, smooth moderate snap and slight side to side main blade wobble. Don't know the year, didn't know it was made by Queen, big Q tang stamp on the main blade, pile side. Feels a bit light and flimsy after the GEC and Case whittlers I'm used to using. Secondary blades are pretty thin, flex easily. Otherwise a good solid knife.
