Hi, ya'll,
I have a Baldor, dental lathe. It's only 1/3hp but it's good for light work.
What I need is 2 of the spiral, I guess, chucks(?) that you spin the pads on to. The shaft is 3/8".
I've looked at a lot of Baldor sites but I guess what I need is oddball or something and can'y find them.
If anybody has a couple to sell please let me know. Thanks.

Can you use the ones for a dremel tool? I use them at times with my jewelers lathe.

Bill, I know what you are wanting. Look it up on Google. Look for "dental lab equipment". You should be able to find what you want in one of the dental lab suppliers like Henry Schein. I tried to google it but my pc is not working very good and it's not getting to where I want to go. My dental lab lathe is a Red Wing I think? If you don't have the Jacobs type chuck , you'd need a brass or chrome plated mandrel to hold the felt wheels. I have some of those pieces of equipment as I used to be a dental technician some years ago now expired. There are right and left hand mandrels. Depends on which side of the motor you want to install the mandrel on. Send me an email for more info if you want. ::shrug:: ::dang::
