All About Pocket Knives

Howdy Case Classic Collectors,

I would like to take the time to post these three 72050's that were made in 1994 for the Case Classic program, under the normal run amount for these handle colors they would fall in the 1 of 200 run! ....These three would be considered "very rare" due to the fact that all three main blades on these knives Sport the "Special Edition DBL Bull Elephant etch" & are not in the Case Classic book under the normal run amount for these knives, in fact, the only knives in the Case Classics book The Long Haul with this etch for these handles described are the 1 of 3 Salesman Samples but in this case these three are in fact "Prototypes" so that tells this Elephant Toe collector that all three are very, very rare indeed!!! ....All three 72050's are out of the exclusive collection of MR. Sam Turner, Sam took pride in collecting some of the Rarest Case Classics in the Hobby that came from the late & Great MR. Jim Parker himself, from the founder of the Case Classics Club MR. John Adams & from MR. I'M back with photos of Parker letters (COA's) for the above "Rare Prototype" 72050 patterns I posted earlier! ....I am posting these letters to also make a very important point here, you need proper documentation on any & all Case Classic knives that are classified Low run, Prototype & or Salesman Sample as these letters (COA's) add to a complete package for any such knife in question & also add to the knifes market & book value as well! ....For those of you that do not know, click one time on each photo to enlarge so you will have no trouble reading the COA's information! ....Later friends & Happy Trails to ya'll!

I consider myself fortunate to be a friend of Sam Turner. I was also *very* forturnate to have acquired a number of knives from his collection. I have posted some pics of these knives for all to enjoy, I know they have brought much joy to me. I would like to say that I am 100% certain that if you are lucky enough to be able to get a knife from Sam's collection, you will be THRILLED with your purchase.

You are 100% on target Roger, but may I add that your advice is correct for any manufacturer. I collect Bulldog Brand knives and I have a stack of papers about 1 1/2" tall or so that documents rare factory defects, rare knives, 1 of 1, 1 of 2 and so on. Those COA's and factory invoices are verification of your investment and increases the value of your knives, sometimes greatly. Occasionaly I see manufacturers doing a poor job of documentation and the only documentation you have is etched on the reverse side of the blade. Wish they could do it right all the time but they are in the business of making knives, not documentation. Mr. Parker wasn't perfect but he did a decent job of documentation. Thanks for the reminder.
