Here is a Christmas present from my father that showed up on Christmas Eve. He did a really good job on this one. At first I thought about using it but changed my mind and put it in the dresser. Not sure what kind of blade steel it has, but it's sharp as a razor. I know for sure the horn is from a Moose.

What a wonderful gift. That is something you can treasure for the rest of your days.
I have never seen handle material like that. That moose is some of the richest, best looking handle material I've seen. ::tu::
Has it been stained or is that the natural color?

I found out this morning that the handle is made of a root from the European Rowan tree - it has been stained. The blade is a Norwegian Brusletto.
