He has a bunch more of them. I picked up 4 off ebay from him the other day.

I agree about an honest person and not any of the ebay knife selling crooks we know!!!

I won the auction for the tang stamps. ::ds:: No need to worry about them being used for counterfeiting. I 've got a few other brands as well. Just another branch of knife collecting to me. I really enjoy finding the odd stuff that's associated with the old knife companies. It seems to be harder to find than some of the knives are.

I got the 4 that I bought in the mail today and they will be in my collection also. Great cutlery history pieces.

There are plenty of unscrupulous counterfieters out there who would gladly put them to use making fakes.
I agree they make an interesting addition to a collection, but they also pose a threat to the unsuspecting if they end up in the wrong hands.
Glad these went to a couple of the "good guys"! ::nod::

they are not so easy to use. not for cold stamping. requires a trip hammer on very hot steel. hey fran, show us your "big" hammer! ::paranoid::

Maybe Fran has one of those little 16 oz. hammers like that kid who never took showers in gym class had................you remember the one don't ya?

I've got a big hammer just like that one Phil, except mine points at more of a downward angle.. :oops: :mrgreen:
