All About Pocket Knives

in the butterfly on the blade instead of it saying benchmade it sez balisong what gives can i tell the age by that fact
i don't know much about knifes yet but i do know one thing now that Ive started buying them i cant stop
my wife hates me

maybe somebody know the answer here.

its one of the earlier models... some have Benchmade U.S.A. on the other side. probably mid-90's
