Heinr. Boker (bartender)???

Hi here is another knife I have had again for a long time. Does anyone know the approx. age and value? Is it a multi-purpose, bartender or neither? Anyways tang stamp reads Heinr. Boker Baumwerk - Solingen Germany - Alemania. The knife is in good shape not being sharpened but light rust on parts of the main blade over the etch. Is there anyway to get the touches of rust off without taking the etch away? Thanks

cool. that one is a great early multi-tool, or camp. or utility knife
according to goins, that stamp was used 1932-1950.

I have the same knife with a later tang stamp, "Boker Solingen Germany" and a blade etch that includes the number 182. I picked it up recently at that little shop I told you about for about $35 very lightly used.
I really like the design. A cool twist on the ole camp knife IMO.
I guess it's a bit of a hybrid between a camp knife and a bartenders knife.
Maybe the Europeans are more prone to take a bottle of wine with them when they camp.
As for cleaning the blade: oil, soft cloth, patience. (you may never get it perfect)
