I have a old small Senator style knife with 2 blades and bone scales. The tang stamp is only partially legible. I can't read the top line, but the rest says & SONS, NEWARK, NJ. Any suggestions who the manufacturer might be?

Hi Archie ::welcome:: to the site. A distinct possibility is J. Wiss & Sons of Newark. Jacob Wiss dates back to the 1880s and was originally a scissors and shears manufacturer. The company owned the right to Boker USA 1969-1984. Please show a pic of your knife if possible. :D s-k

Less likely perhaps, but possible, is Booth Bros.

A good close-up of the stamp may show more than can be seen otherwise, and help to identify.

Smiling-knife is right. I collect New Jersey knives almost exclusively and the only company I've ever come across that had "& Sons" stamped on the tang was J. Wiss & Sons.
