$405
eBay Link Here
I've seen other knives with this same jigged bone stamped with Case's name (one was very convincing/everything but the handle that is).
Anyone know where these come from? Shirley they are not legitimate contract knives...?

OMG....$405...that is just SAD.
That knife is what I call an "across the room" phony....If someone can't tell from looking at it from across the room, that it is a fake...then that person should NOT be spending big bucks on old Case knives. It is SO SO bad and looks NOTHING like a real Case 6380, which is the closest Case pattern.
That knife never had any association with Case....the tooling is similar to a Boker 280 whittler....but its a stainless cheapo so it probably started like as a cheap foreign copy of the Boker whittler.
I have seen a LOT of these on Ebay, they all look about the same, you see a lot of fake 88 congress patterns that look to be of similar quality level.

And the seller all but states the knife is not authentic. He mentions twice about whether the knife is right or not, and goes on to say its a good conversation piece. Similiar to the fake Remington 1306 stag bullet I posted a link to a week or so ago. I think it brought around $500, and it wasn't even close to being good enough to fool an average collector.

OH MY
And they paid $405 for it.

Gosh, the split in the back alone should have told them it wasn't real. I agree the seller did everything but say that it was fake too. This person needs help for sure. I have been giving all of my buyers the address to this web site and many have thanked me for doing so. I encourage others to do the same. Wrong pattern for CASE, wrong Bone and stamp is

Gosh where do they come up with these things and still get
$405 I can see why cheaters are doing it.

We must continue our education.
