All About Pocket Knives

I hope someone can help me. I own a dagger that i have been trying to get information on. It is as follows:
Over all lengh is 9", the handle is 4-1/2", made of jade, with the word Buke in a gold circle and a knife eched under the word Buke, the blade is 5-1/4" long with a design on both sides of the blade and is razor sharp on both edges. It is in new condition just like it was taken out of a box. the sheath is leather with a jade stone in the center. the front of the case also has designs with a plant of sort ( the jade stone is in the center of the plant ). On the back of the case it has:

phil is right, need detailed pics to help. preliminary research could find no reference to "buke". any country of origin? how did you determine "pre 1930"? "buke 94" could be year of manufacture or model #..

Well to begin with an antique auctioneer told me based on design, material and craftsmanship it is definitely quality made, pre 1930 more than likely pre 1920. It was made by a Blade-smith like his father and father before him, probably foreign decent, it was unique as to mean custom made, that 500 on the case signified quantity made, and ser #94 means that this was the 94th knife made out of 500 and the inscribed knife under Buke was his trade mark, and Buke may have been his last name. possibly of Turkish decent ( Buke ) That is all i know. sorry after looking at my post forgot to mention the 500 at the top on the back of the case. looks like a nice knife. unlikely that 500 of the same knife made by one maker. the engine turned blade is a nice touch. the design does not look pre 1930 to me.(jmo) the auctioneer's story is well, just that, a story. can you post clear close-up pics of all marks? the method of marking and style can mean a lot.

sorry I did not mean 500 of the same knife only that he made 500 knifes of this type in his career. Jade for a handel suggested that it was custom made. I will do my best to get closer pictures.

I have to agree...my guess on age would be no earlier than 1970......no doubt it is a very nice,rare and expensive custom made knife. I would definitely hang on to it!!
