All About Pocket Knives

I'm not sure that "jeweling" is the correct name but it is the engraving of small overlapping circles. Anyone have any recommendations for someone who does it? I'd like to have the blade on a Case Whaler done

jeweling or engine turning. i still have the brushes from gun work. i have seen someone treating blades but i don't remember who.

How about engraving the guy that did this knife is part of the AAPK family, sorry forgot his name. If interested in his work I would contact him via Ebay.

That's some very nice work but what I'm looking for is "jeweling" or "engine turning". A design of very small concentric overlapping circles. You see it on fancied up rifle and pistol bolts. There a couple that advertize on Google but I hate dealing with people I don't know. That's why I asked here, thinking there are enough collectors that like customized knives and some of them must have had some blades done that could give me do's and don't's and go to's and stay away from's

That's Mike Pardue AAPK member name is cavemans workshop. Here is his website, http://www.parduesilversmith.com He has done engraving for me, very nice work! I recommend him 100%. It's been a while since I talked to him.

Ya just finished in chat with caveman sounds like he could point you in the right direction or maybe do something like that.

i think this is the style that coinshooter is refering to. This particulat gentleman isn't doing any knife work at the moment due to health issues, but I'll let you know if I hear anything different.

Take a look at warthers.com at the fantastic whittling and carving the guy did years ago. Then check out the knives for sale and you will see some of the engine turning you are looking into.
