imperial/camco

replaced a badly worn imperial with a camco. either a loose blade, lack of lube....? there is a .00050 lip in the blade heel where it worked it's way between the center liner and backspring.. knife had no snap. no repair so i fitted a nice old camco blade, gave it a half stop discarded the worn spring and pen blade. now i have a nice thin EO frankenknife that is as sharp as a razor.

That Frankenknife looks a lot better than many new ones I have seen!

thanks dale, i'm gonna edc this one for a while. bought it because the bone was great. now it's gotta new lease on life!

Frankenknives are my favorites....it's fun to mix and match...and it really doesn't take too much work to tune a larger blade (kick and tang) to fit a smaller package. I usually just put a pin thru both (new and old blades), clamp together with vice grips, then use the old blade's tang to grind the new blade's tang to shape....works really well.
